Where Our Story Begins
Prepare HER Now was born from personal experience and a mission to ensure girls never have to navigate womanhood feeling ashamed, unheard, alone, or unprepared.
I was once the girl sitting in the school bathroom waiting for my mom to get off work because the pain felt unbearable. In those moments, the bathroom became the only place where I felt safe while I waited to go home. There was even a custodian who noticed my routine and would place a sign in front of the bathroom to give me privacy, comfort, and a sense of peace during moments that felt overwhelming.
I was the girl afraid to participate in activities because I worried I might leak through my clothes and be embarrassed in front of everyone. The girl silently struggling with changes within my body while trying to understand who I was becoming. The girl who worked to fit in, be accepted, and be friends with everyone simply to avoid being bullied.
Even with loving parents and older sisters, I still felt unprepared for the emotional, physical, and mental challenges that came with growing into womanhood. When I searched for answers, I often felt dismissed. I was told things like, “sometimes this is just what girls go through.” But deep down, I knew girls deserved more than being taught to silently endure pain, confusion, insecurity, pressure, and self-doubt.
And I realized I was not alone.
There are countless girls silently struggling with anxiety, bullying, body image, low confidence, social pressure, menstrual health challenges, and the fear of not fitting in all while trying to discover who they are and where they belong. Too many girls are searching for safe spaces, trusted guidance, and someone who simply understands what they are carrying internally.
Prepare HER Now was created to become the safe space, support system, and community many girls wish they had growing up — a place where girls are seen, supported, educated, empowered, and prepared for every stage of life.
Through mentorship, wellness education, leadership development, safety awareness, life skills, and community engagement, we are committed to preparing the “whole girl” for life so girls can grow into confident young women who understand their value, trust their voice, embrace their purpose, and know they never have to struggle alone.
