PHN Girls Care
At PHN, giving back isn’t just an activity—it’s a core part of our mission.
Volunteering offers countless benefits, including enhanced happiness, reduced stress, increased self-esteem, and the development of valuable leadership skills. Research from Community Memorial Healthcare underscores how giving back fosters a sense of purpose and connection while combating loneliness and building resilience.

HER Journey
Did you know that one in five U.S. children and adolescents are affected by obesity? According to the Centers for Disease Control, approximately 14.7 million youths aged 2-19 face significant health challenges as a result of obesity.
At PHN, we believe every girl deserves the opportunity to live a vibrant, healthy life, so we created HER Journey—an empowering initiative designed to equip young girls with the tools, resources, and confidence to take charge of their health and well-being.
Together, we can inspire change and create a brighter future for our youth. Join us by donating, volunteering, or lacing up your sneakers to run with PHN. Your support fuels their journey toward hope, healing, and health. Take the first step today—because every stride matters.
I Am Her Skills-Building

At PHN, we inspire girls to step into the world with confidence, empowerment, and authenticity. The I Am Her Skills-Building Program is designed to equip young women with the tools they need to thrive and succeed in every aspect of their lives. We provide a safe and nurturing space where girls can explore and develop essential skills, fostering growth in areas like empowerment, independence, freedom, beauty, and dignity.
Our sessions focus on key aspects of personal development, including emotional and mental well-being, menstrual health and hygiene, community engagement, financial literacy, leadership and decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills. Research from Youth.gov shows that youth who engage in skills-building activities are more likely to demonstrate resilience, improved well-being, enhanced academic performance, and greater college and career readiness. By joining the I Am Her Skills-Building Program, our young ladies gain the confidence and competence to shape their futures and lead with purpose. Together, we are building a generation of empowered, authentic leaders.
Her Village

Research indicates that adverse youth outcomes are influenced by youth substance abuse, lack of parental engagement, poor academic performance, unemployment rates, and poverty. The purpose of PHN’s Her Village parenting group is to address these issues by creating positive parent-child relationships, improving parenting skills, and ultimately leading to more positive behavioral outcomes.
Her Village will create a supportive, inclusive, and encouraging environment where parents and caregivers can connect, share experiences, exchange ideas, and grow together. Furthermore, PHN aims to foster meaningful relationships, provide practical resources, and empower each caregiver through every stage of the parenting journey. By building a community of mutual respect, understanding, and empathy, PHN strives to strengthen families and promote the well-being of children and their caregivers
Her Shield

According to un.org, youth ages 15 to 24 are more likely to use the internet than the rest of the population and 50% of children are most likely to become a target by a stranger. While the internet and social media can provide valuable resources, they can also lead to a range of problems, such as cyberbullying, misinformation, and sexual exploitation and abuse. These issues can result in serious consequences, including missed school, increased rates of suicide and self-harm, human trafficking, and a distorted sense of self as young people allow others' opinions to influence how they feel about themselves, often contradicting their true identity leading to bad decisions.
HER Shield is a self defense, safety awareness, and advocacy program designed to equip girls with the skills and knowledge needed to protect themselves from physical, emotional, and digital threats. Through self defense training, online safety workshops, and education, participants learn how to recognize and respond to danger while advocating for their rights and the rights of others. The program is a proactive approach to preventing violence, exploitation, and abuse.
